LexisNexis CaseMap software enables litigators to organise, analyse and communicate critical information about each case they are working on so they may confidently and efficiently create the most effective strategy for their clients.
Using CaseMap, litigators can identify and link facts, legal issues and parties involved in each case they are working on and store them in specialised relational spreadsheets for ready access, analysis and easy reporting. Features like bulk importing of e-mail, automated capture of intake interview data, automated and easy-to-create reports and “Send to CaseMap” integration with LexisNexis Concordance® and other software greatly simplify evidence organisation and analysis. Further, the LexisNexis Case Analysis Consulting Group works directly with clients to train users on the most effective uses of CaseMap and related software.
CaseMap enables litigators to soundly evaluate relationships between different types of case information to make more strategic decisions based on what is discovered.
CaseMap integrates with other litigation and electronic discovery tools such as Concordance, Applied Discovery, Adobe Acrobat, Binder, JFS Litigator’s Notebook, LiveNote, Sanction and others.
With a click of a mouse, data from CaseMap spreadsheets can be sent to LexisNexis TimeMap to instantly create timeline visualisations.
CaseMap features an intake interview jumpstart function that enables litigators to email clients a questionnaire about their case, that is quickly imported into a CaseMap case file.
CaseMap has automatic Bates Stamping of source documents giving each document a unique digital mark to ensure the integrity and accessibility of original documents and images.
CaseMap makes it easy to import large volumes of email quickly and accurately. As each message is imported, CaseMap relates it to other elements of a case by automatically recording key fields such as date, time, subject, message body, sender and recipients.
CaseMap flexible filtering makes it simple to explore how the various elements of a case are connected to all the others, revealing vital links in case information that might otherwise go undiscovered.

Hickman & Rose Solicitors quashes wrongful conviction for murder using CaseMap Ben Rose, Partner at Hickman & Rose Solicitors, a specialist criminal justice firm in the UK, represented Andrew Adams at the Court of Appeal in a murder case that spanned six years.
"Working on this case was like doing a 500,000-piece jigsaw," said Ben, "this being roughly the number of documents we had to examine - except that we did not have all the bits; many were incomplete, some were from different puzzles or incomprehensible and we had no picture on the lid to look at. To compound matters, all the original defence papers were missing and several of the trial lawyers dead."
Andrew Adams was freed on his second appeal after serving more than 15 years in jail for the murder of Jack Royal in 1990.
"My most memorable experience as a lawyer came after six years of painstaking work," Ben said, "when I walked out of the Court of Appeal with Andrew Adams at my side...I probably couldn't have done that without CaseMap."
